Sir, As everyone know that the chances of going to abroad whether for higher studies or employment is getting annihilated due to many global reasons. In this scenerio what is the best branch of engineering to take so that it has good employment potentialities in India itself rather than going abroad. Kindly clarify as this question is being discussed a lot nowadays in all corners. As far I am concerned I donot want to compromise on the branch since I am very keen to pursue my studies in engineering in ECE branch. Kindly tell me whether should I opt for the goodwill of the institute (NIT) by taking any branch it offers or not to compromise and giving importance to my choice branch in any one of the above-average deemed Universities in South on the ranking of my AIEEE ranking of above 40,000. Because of having borned in middle class General community I donnot want to become a burden on my parents after completing my Engineering graduation as they did their best in admitting me in a relatively good 10+2 college in Hyderabad. The question may be little unusual but kindly reply soon.

Dear shiva manas,

The best branches of engineering are Computer science and electronics but let me tell you it all depends on your interest. if you are interested in going to chemical engg then go for it. it also has lots of opportunites in India .companies like GAIL, SHELL,ONGC , IOCL etc come to hire chemical engineers.
