i have been alloted a mechanical in iit bbsr, but opting for 2nd allotment would surely get me a seat in engineering physics in iit guwahati. kindly tell me which branch has a wider option for m.tech and taking which branch will guide me to a research fellowship in astronomy and space sceince. pleaseeeeeeeeee

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
