i got air-3589 in iit -jee 2010.And 287 rank in iist and also 310 marks in bitsat.which is better to opt,plz advice me

I think you can get mechanical or civil in ol IITs and better branches in new IITs . So you should go for IIT as placement wose IIT is the best option........

u can choose metallurgy/biotech in old IITS{only if u r interested}

IIST is quite a good field,but need 2 be interested in research field

U can get ne dual at BITS PILANI/4yr courses such as civil/chemical at pilani an all branches at gia/hyderabad

ACC 2 me,u shud prefer a dual at PILANI,so dat u can finish ur post graduation as well :)

for what is u thinking dude go 4 iit only it is hte best...
