Economics from IIT is very good option .. if you are interested in economics thn go for it .. don worry for the placemets and future scope.. it's very good branch with a very bright future .. Jobs for economics graduates available in govt. as well as private sector organisations.. .i.e ONCG, IOC, Foreign Companies such as GE Capital, American Express, McKenzie, CITI Corp, etc., Nonbank Financial Companies, such as ICICI, IDBI, IDFC, HDFC etc., Insurance Companies, such as LIC, GIC, Allianz etc.
