iit rajhasthan is operating from iit kanpur and allows all facilities of iit kanpur to their students,how would that choice be with a rank of 3043 where i am getting mechanical in iit raghasthan and biotech in iit kgp.

It seems useless study Biotech after getting into into IIT as it can never be good i these fields. Biotech is something related to Biology and IITs are famous for its core branchs like comp. sc. elec. mech., civil.,chemical  and some more.

So its better to opt for Mechanical ( very good future prospects ) at IIT Rajasthan. Though its new you will face some problem in the starting but hardly it will take a year for IIT to maintain its standard.
