Hi Vivek,

Navigation and Marine Engineering are not mostly followed branches. What i have experienced is that there are many reasons for someone not going for marine and navigation like :

few have an impression that they might have to stay out of home and they wont be able to visit home too often.

Others feel that there are less vacancies and they are not sure of their placements.

But i would suggest, not to worry about these things as requirements are there from placements point of view, even outside india. And if you are interested into these strams you will certainly get placed. as many join just for the sake of doing engineering.

Believe in your self and if you feel comfortable with something no branch is having career risks

All the best!!!
