Dear Abhi,
First i wud say that you shud opt for Old IIT .. coz IIT's are best .. as these are the best collage of technology and engg. in india. Over the years IIT placements have been instrumental in getting several students into top companies across India and abroad.
Then you shud opt for BITs Pilani and then Top NITs (Tichy and warangal) and new IITs ..NITs and New IIT are almost equivalent.. And regarding the branch , i wud advise you to choose the branch in which you are interested .. At your rank you may not get the top branches in old IITs but your AIEEE score is quite good you can definatly get core branches in NITs ..
