which is better option metallurgy from PEC OR MECHANICAL FROM UIET ,CHANDIGARH?WHICH OF THEM HAS BETTER PLACEMENT?WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SALARY OF STUDENTS OF METALLURGY FROM PEC AND AVERAGE SALARY OF MECHANICAL ENGG FROM UIET?IS THERE ANY SCOPE OF METALLURGY OF PEC?

I wud suggest you to go for mech. from UIET . As the stream as well as the college have a good scope . 

As about Metallurgy from PCE it do have scope but there are less jobs in this core branch altogether .

As about placements we can not give a correct figure today for what is to come after 4 years . As there are many factors that effect placements like your performance , state of the market , no. Of jobs in the stream .Thus you should concentrate to get a college at present then thinking about the placements . As if you are able to do good in the branch you will surely get  a good branch .
