i'm getting 1779 rank in jee (202in obc ) and 148 rank in isat(11in obc) so which of these two will be a better optionfor me to choose and what are the future options in iist in research and other areas

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
