SIR, I have heard about plans for conversion of IT-BHU into an IIT. Can you tell me when this might happen?

HI RIPAN,

It has been going around for quite a while about conversion of IT-BHU to IIT but there are no confirm dates out for it yet . Whenever that happens the news will be posted on ASKIITIANS.com . But even today IT-BHU has a good brand name .

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
