i tried for jee twice and both of my attempts are unsuccesful. i will be taking a seat in stae level college at karnata ,mech. engg and i want to be an aeronautical engineer and want have bright career but i have some info that it is very difficult to find a job in this field because only iitians and those top brand name colleges are chosen. so what is your view on this and please if you could provide me with some information about this so as how to go about
Dear Girish,
First of all make clear whether you want to be a Mechanical engineer or an Aeronautical engineer. Though there are chances of making your way to aeronautical engineering through mechanical engineering but its quite difficult if you are not studying in any good college in terms of exposure and various projects going on regarding your field within the college. About IITs, they dont serve any course in aeronautical engineering but Aerospace engineering which is quite different from the former. There are various colleges at Chandigarh and at Bangalore which are solely for Aeronautical Engineering.
