Dear Arjun jacob,

BITS is recognised by all the istitutions in INDIA.

BITS wont come under any regional UNIVERITIES , but it will be monitored by central government ( under Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956 ) as it must follow some norms regarding intake of studenst and the faculty to student ratio. YOU can go for any relavent job in INDIA with BITS degree . dont worry about recogniton of BITS it is well established and good enough to build ones career.

For your information BITS is an institution deemed to be a University estd. vide Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956 under notification # F.12-23/63.U-2 of Jun 18,1964.

reg NITS and BITS:

every thing will be same about amenities provided for your studies in both BITS and NIT .

NITs are government funded so it will cost you less comapred to BITS.

regarding placements you will be getting all best companies both in BITS and NITs CTC will be 5lakhs per annum with slight variations .

BITS  pilani is ahead of some NITS... it is placed among top ten colleges in INDIA for technical education.

Prefer to go into NIT -Trichy/Kuruk/ Suratkal.

if not BITS .......
