My son’s teacher have dissuaded me from letting my son join coaching classes for JEEE preparations. But others except the teachers are all for coaching centers. Pls advise how important is joining a coaching center.

Coaching is very important for a student.The difference between school and coaching is same as the difference between boards and JEE.
Schools give basic information and can extend the things only to a bit higher level unlike coaching which helps the student to develop his own logic instead of cramming the answers.Moreover the time devoted to extend the topic by the school teacher is limited which is not the case in coaching.
