Grade 12th passDiscuss with colleagues and IITians

my rank in iit advanced 2015 is 2039, what should i go for CS in Indore, EC in Bhu, or try for machenical or chemical in old iits, my interest in future is for teaching job in IIT, NIT, UNIVERSITIES OR IAS,IFS, IRS OR in PSU..plz advice, Regards

Prefer Machenical in older IITs, If not then prefer for CS in Indore then EC in Bhu. For Teching job in IITs. you will be need to go for higher education (PhD) in the specialization of your interest. Thanks.

my teachers are saying to take EC at bhu iit and then upgrade/slide to CS...is it possible if yes then what are rules and scope

Yes its possible after the first year. But then preference will be given to those who will secure more CGPA in his/her first year.

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
