No , its not on electrical engg , but its on mechanical engg. 
if u can refer to the defination of quantum mechanics then it is 
its a branch of mechanics that deals with the mathematical description of motion and interaction of subatomic particle . bycombining the concept of wave partice duality, heisenberg uncertainity , etc … 
so, if u will take mechanical engg after 12^th then u can learn moreabout this
