Grade 12Discuss with colleagues and IITians

i have got 186 marks in jee main and 95% in cbse board class 12. my expected jee advance score is 170. i am an ntse scholar. i think wont b able to make to iit this time. should i drop or opt for nit?

You can be in the jee list but rank may be around 14000-18000.
Lets wait for result, and proceed accordingly...
My intiution says, you would be selected this year...

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
