Grade 12th PassDiscuss with colleagues and IITians

I got 180 in jee mains 2015. CBSE board percentage 88.2. Home state UP. BITSAT score 303. JEE advanced score 185 (expected) . Rank predictor shows approx rank of 27000 in jee mains.
CATEGORY GENERAL. I will get cse in thapar university. What are my other chances better than thapar? is there a chance in pec chandigarh or iiit allahabad? I would prefer ECE or CSE over other branches. Also is there an option to change the branch after 1 year in college?

Very rare chance of IIIT A and PEC Chandigarh, its CS, EC, EE, ME.....very rare..
You may get a lower branch of low ranking NITs....
But if you are getting 185 in JEE adv, you may be qualified, may be the rank is about 11000, but hope for the best...

You may also get BITS GOA, BITS HYDERABAD, its civil, chemical branches...

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?

I have wasted my 11th? Is it still possible to get into my dream iit? Do i have to cover 11 th syllabus first? When and how can i finish it?
