the IES are conducted for govt jobs purpose and its conducted by upsc , which is a govt organisation .
here the candidate who will be recruited are termed as class 1 officer in engg services .
the following candidates are recruited under ies exam
1- electrical engg
2- mechanical engg
3- civil engg
4- telecommunication engg
the exam will be of 2 stages
1- preliminary exam
2- mains exam
in preliminary exam u have 2 paper ,
paper 1 is of 200 marks and paper 2 is of 300 marks ,
and in mains exam also u have 2 papers , paper 1 is of 300 marks as well as paper 2 is also of 300 marks .
