Ethanol also known as ethyl alcohol because it is commonly known as the alcohol found in alcoholic beverages. It is a flammable, colorless, and slightly toxic chemical with the molecular formula C2H5OH.Ethanol's molecular formula is C2H5OH.
so, its written in the format of c2h5oh .
reason – 5 hydrogen are bonded to carbon atom , and 1 hydrogen is bonded to oxygen atom .
