Vertex lies exactly middle in between focus and directrix, hence find out the mid point you will get vertex cooridnates.

focus (3,4)
directrix is x=2
so axis will be y=4 so vertex will have y coordinate as 4 and x co-ordinate will be 5/2 (3+2/2 mid pt)
(5/2,4)
