What is the number of normals to a parabola from a given point (h,k) ? I know the standard method of finding the roots of the slope form equation of normal, but that's time consuming. I'm looking for an easier method. I believe in your accuracy, please help asap. Thanks in advance.

depends on position of point wrt parabola if 
it lies on it then only two normals possibe 
if outside 3
