Substitute the point (2,1) in the given curve Equation y2=8x=>(1) 2=8(2).The value is not equal. It means the point is not on the parabola. (2,1) is an external point.As parabola appears to be as a part of circle(but not) TWO tangents can be drawn to parabola from (2,1).
