Dear student
x sec @ + y cosec @ = a
x sin @ + y cos @ = a sin@ cos @

p = | 0 + 0 – a sin@ cos @ |/ sqrt(sin^2@ + cos^2@)

Hence

4p^2 = 4* a^2 sin^2 @ cos^2 @ / (sin^2@ + cos^2@)

Now
p’ = |0 – 0 – a cos2@| / sqrt(cos^2 @ + sin^2 @)

(p’)^2 = a^2 * co^2 (2@) / (cos^2 @ + sin^2 @)

Now

4p^2 + p’^2 = a^2 sin^2 2@ + a^2 cos^2 2@

 = a^2

Hence proved
