Grade 10Analytical Geometry

Small question. I`m little stupid but here it goes. Can you draw a tangent to a circle with radius 5 cm from a point 3 cm away from centre.a)Yes b) No c) either yes or no. The thing is I said no but my friends all say yes

Yes you can draw tangent as it is Aline touching sircle at only one point and perpendicular to radius As a matter of fact it s possible to draw tangent from any point outside circle.

Read carefully the point is 3cm away from centre with radius 5 so the point is actually inside the circle isn`t it?
