if a line is y+2at= t(x – at^2)......(1), note that its slope is t. so a perpendicular line will have slope – 1/t, and hence its eqn will be
y – 2a/t= – (x – a/t^2)/t........(2)
eliminate t from (1) and (2), you get
x= y^2/a + 3a, which is a parabola.
