Formula to find standard deviation if only mean deviation is given in question

It is very difficult to calculate the standard deviation directly and easily therfore the exact dats is necessary to go wwith the further calcukations.
Formulae:
sigma = root(\sum(xi – x’)^2) for i= 1 to i =N.
where x’ is the average mean.
