(A) BOTH STATEMENTS ARE CORRECT AND STATEMENT 2 IS THE CORRECT EXPLANATION OF STATEMENT 1.

Of course , both statements are true as they are the the properties of Ellipse we study
But Statement 2 is not explaining the correctness of statement 1
