Area of triangle formed by the tangent at the point (a,b) to the circle x2+y2=r2 and the coordinate axis is?

Eqn of tangent will be given by T=0
ax+by=r2
hence the x intercept is r2/a
and y intercept is r2/b
so area of triangle is ½ r2 /a * r2/b = r^4 / 2ab
