what will be the equation of cirlce whose center is (3,1)and which inercept chord of 6 units length on the straight line 2x-5y+18=0 is.

r is the radius of circle

p is the length of perpendicular on given line from center of circle p=19/√29

so r² = p² +3²

        =361/29   +9

 

now equation of circle is  (x-3)² +(y-1)² =r²
