In the syllabus for jee it is written that for circles parametric equations have to be done. Do we have to do stuff like equation of circles in terms of polar coordinates??

Yes iit jee syllabus involves parmetric equation of circle and it involves the following stuff:

Equation of a circle in various forms, equations of tangent, normal and chord.

Parametric equations of a circle, intersection of a circle with a straight line or a circle, equation of a circle through the points of intersection of two circles and those of a circle and a straight line.

It means you have to do equation of circle in terms of polar coordinates also

in doing those stuffs you will be able to answer rather solve difficult questions in an easier manner!
