The multiplicative inverse of a matrix is the matrix that gives you the identity matrix when multiplied by the original matrix. Thus, the resultant matrix must also be à 2x2 matrix as of this case is concerned. Now, how to get the multiplicative inverse is the next question. For that, what u do is that, multiply the identity matrix of order 2 with the inverse of the given 2x2 matrix. You`ll get the needed answer. If u want to check the answer, then multiply the original matrix in the question with the multiplicative inverse matrix that you got. They must lead to an identity matrix of the same order.
