The probability of the occurrence of two independent events is known to be each greaterthan 1/2. It is given that probability of the first event occurring simultaneously with thesecond not occurring is 3/25. Also the probability of the second occurring simultaneouslywith the first not occurring is 8/25. Find the probabilities of the respective events.

Let probability of event A be a
Let probability of event B be b
 a(1-b) = 3/25
b(1-a) = 8/25
Solving the above two eq we get a=3/5 And b= 4/5
