Dear student

just put x = 1 and you get the expression 0 hence (x -1) is a factor
now x-1 will completely divide it.

hence (x-1) (x^3 +x^2 -40x -112)

now

cubic polynomial is zero at x = 7
hence x-7 is a factor

now x^2 + 16 + 8x is remaining = (x+4)^2

This equation is not biquadratic as it is not void of a^1 term
