note that both the numerator and denominator have a common factor of x^2 – 1. this means that they both are divisible by x^2 – 1. using division lemma, divide them by x^2 – 1. so we get
root3/2= (2x^2+2x – 1)/(x^2+x+1)
now cross multiply and rearrange. the eqn will then turn into a quadratic form which we all know how to solve
