Dear Student
We will use the formula for area of rectangle = length x width

The figure contains following shapes :

2 rectangles of length 4m and width 2m ( one in front and one in back)
Area , A1 = 16
2 rectangles of length 6m and width 2m ( one in front and one in back)
Area , A2 = 24
2 rectangles of length 8m and width 2m ( one in front and one in back)
Area , A3 = 32

6 rectangles of length 7m and width 2m ( 3 in right and 3 in left )
Area ,A4 = 84
4 rectangles of length 2m and width 1m ( 2 in right and 2 in left )
Area , A5 = 8

One rectangle at top of figure of length 4m and width 2m (
Area, A6 = 8

Adding all areas
Total area = 172 m2

As As shown in the figure
Fron side area  A1=ar ( Rec 1 +Rec 2 +Rec 3)
A1=8*2+6*2+4*2)=36 m²
Top side area A2= ar(Rec 4)
A2=4*7=28 m²
 
Right  side area  A3=ar ( Rec 5+Rec 6 +Rec 7+Rect 8+Rect 9))
A3=(2*7+1*7+2*7+1*7+2*7)
=7*(8)=56
A3=56 m²
Now the right side area is same to the area in left side
Thus total surface area of the shape
=A1+A2+2A3
=36+28+2*56
=64+112
=176 m²
Thus the total suface are of the shape =176 m²
