Dear Anu Maan

Determinant is a number it has a numerical value , but the matrix is not a number it is just a representation of arrangement of different number within two brackets.

do not mix determinant with matrix.

one of the important use of determinant is to solve the lequation of different variable. you can solve equation upto 3,4 variable .but when variable increases it is difficult to solve .but you can solve it with the hepl of matrix .
