Sir for this we have to use the formula  tn=a+(n-1)d

in this formula a=first number

                       n=number of nonzero digits

d=difference between any of two digits

                      Hope you understood now..

All the Best & Good Luck !

It''a a question from ISI entrance. It''s too hard to find a general term for this. So try to understand the method.

First break the ''n'' number in terms of 10''s power. For e.g if n=3259 write it as 3X10^3+2X10^2+5X10+9. Then replace 10s by 9. 3X9^3+2X9^2+5X9+9. It will be the answer. 2403 is the answer in this example.

Actually since there is no 0 in the series, its in the number system with base 9. So we are just converting from base 9 to base 10.

Hope that explains it!

its very easy.

no need to change base or do any sort of that.

we see

10th term is 11

20th term is22

30th term is 33

hence the relation is.... n + n/10

but to accomodate all terms just put greatest integer function to it...

hence the nth term..

A(n)=  N + greatest integer function of [ N/10]

(ANS).
