This problem can be solved using De movier's theorem...
I wil give you a hint so that you could be able solve it....
Multiply and divide both the terms with Г2....that is root 2...
So you will get....Г2(cis pie/4)^1/2 + Г2(cis -pie/4)^1/2...
Take root 2 common and you might be knowing...(CisTheta)^{n} = cisn\Theta
Using this identity u can solve further...
Your must be.   2Г2Cos pie/8
