We know every positive integer can be represented in any one of these forms: 3x, 3x+1, 3x+2 where xis an integer greater than or equal to 0.
Case 1: a=3x
Clearly numerator is divisible by 3 as a is divisible by 3.
Case2: a=3x+1
Numerator= (3x+1)(9x^2+1+6x+2)
=3 (3x+1)(3x^2+2x+1), which is also divisible by 3.
Case 3: a=3x+2
Numerator= (3x+2)(9x^2+4+12x+2)
=3 (3x+2)(3x^2+4x+2), which is also divisible by 3.
Hence proved.
