Wood pulp is a source of rayon. Rayon is manufactured from wood pulp that in turn is a cellulose based raw material that occurs naturally. This wood pulp is transformed into a soluble compound. The fact that wood pulp is one of the key sources of rayon makes it an inexpensive fibre.
