Sulphur and silicon both are the non-metals present on the right of the periodic table.Their uses are as follows-
USE OF SULPHUR--
1.The main use of sulphur is in the preparation of SO2which is used in the manufacture of sulphuric acid.
2.It is also is used in the manufacture of carbon disulphate, sodium thiosulphate, gun powder, matches and in fireworks.
USE OF SILICON--Silicon is one of the mostwidely used elements.
1.Silica is used to make glass, which has many useful mechanical, electrical, optical, and thermal properties.
2.Silicon is an important ingredient in steel.
