A freely falling object eventually stops on reaching the ground. What happens to its kinetic energy?

Dear Student

When a body is freely falling the energy remains conserved. Potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy. But when the by reaches the ground, its velocity, (v = 0) becomes zero. Hence the kinetic energy is also zero.
