By definition, a pressure is the force acting perpendicular to the surface divided by the area on which this force is distributed.In our case, the force is the weight of a brick and it is given (32 N). The area on which the weight is distributed is equal to the length (40 cm) multiplied by the width (20 cm), so it is equal to 800 cm^2. So the pressure is32/800=25 Pa
