These are finger like projection in small Intestine of our digestive system. These villi increase the surface area- in turn increase the absorption of nutrients into blood.554-1998_villi.png

The use of villi is to increase the surface for absorption nutrients in the intenstine  as in a small space the area of absorption is needed to be more for working effectively

INTESTINAL VILLUS {VILLI}
       IT IS A SMALL PROJECTION  THAT EXTENDS INTO THE LUMEN OF THE SMALL INTESTINE.
USES:
      IT INCREASES THE INTERNAL SURFACE AREA OF THE WALLS  THEREFORE RESULTING IN GREATER ABSORPTION
