The main difference between lab and clinical thermometers is that clinical thermometers are designed specially for measuring temperatures of the human body whereas lab thermometers are made to measure temperatures in laboratory experiments i.e. they are used for measuring temperatures other than the human body.

Clinical thermometers are used for measuring human body temperature whereas lab thermometers are mainly used in laboratories to measure the temperature of objects outside human temperature range.
east count of both these thermometers is diffrent.
Clinical thermometrs can be tilted while observing the reading but lab thermometers need to be kept upright for reading the actual measurement.
