IIT Gandhinagar also known as IIGN is one of the 8 newly formed IITs in the country by the ministry of HRD, Government of India. The campus of the institution is under construction on the banks of River Sabarmati near a village called Palaj. This will be one of the prominent IITs in the time to come with fully equipped residential campus and it will run completely on solar power. The IITGN is envisioned to be a green zone and a pollution free campus.
