  • All the Indian nationals as well as international applicants are eligible to apply for JEE exam.
  • There is no age limit prescribed by the authorities to apply for the Joint Entrance Examination.
  • There’s no limit on the number of attempts
  • Applicants from foreign countries must obtain the required marks from recognized boards to be eligible for JEE examination.
  • Candidates must have passed grade 12th or its equivalent in the year 2019 or 2020 from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must score a minimum of 75% to get their seats allotted in colleges like IITs, IIITs, NITs, and CFITs. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category must score 65% to get admission to the mentioned institutions.
  • Students who are pursuing their 12th level in 2021 are eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Diploma holders are also eligible to apply for this examination and can get admission in IITs only.

JEE exam is conducted twice a year and there are three separate examinations held for various courses i.e B.Tech/B.E, B.Planning, and B.Arch. Besides, the question paper includes numeric value-based questions as well in the JEE Main 2021 question Paper.

The JEE Main 2021 exam pattern for Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 for all the courses is as follows:

  • B.Tech/B.E
    There will be 75 questions and each question will carry 4 marks that make a total of 300 marks. These questions will be divided into 3 subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and there’ll be 25 questions based on each subject. Also, as added recently, there'll be numeric based questions as well.
  • B. Planning
    There’ll be 100 questions in the B.Planning question paper and it’ll be of 400 marks in total.
  • B.Arch
    The question paper of B.Arch will have 77 questions for 400 marks.

JEE Reservation Criteria

The reservation criteria for JEE exam is as per the government policies and regulations. However, there’s no notification released regarding any changes in the reservation criteria, thus it’s expected that it would be the same as previous year. The criteria is as follows:
