Approximately how many marks or what percent of maximum marks i need to score to get a rank < 2000?? Is ML khanna a gud book for maths? Is it necessary to do trigonometry ? My tution sir suggested not to do that. Please tell me colleges other than IITs n NIts that r equally good....

To get rank less than 2000  you need to score more than 240 marks.(this is approximate marks of last year)

ML Khanna is good for Maths.But I will suggest you follow other books also.

Trignomentry is one of the important part of IIT JEE.if you want rank under 2000 then you must prepear trignomentry.Don't leave it ,its one of the easiest chapter.

for trignomentry you can refer S L Loney.

There are number of college which are good but as good as IIT,such as IT BHU,ISMU Dhanbad..
