i am getting a mark of 242 in iit 2010 excluding partial marks. can you please tell me approximately what rank i will get?which course and institute do i have a good chance of getting into.if possible can you also tell me how to calculate the partial marks??

As your score is of 242 marks in IIT JEE 2010, so with these marks your estimated ank would be some where in between 2200 to 2250. According to the calculation chances are more that you will get any one of IIT, but you might not get your desired branch .
However score may vary and as a result rank may also vary, a slight difference may create lots of difference in rank.
