How to integrate by parts if the

both the functions are of same type.

eg. \intuv dx

where u is algebric

and v is also algebric

Dear Anand

If both the functions are algebric then you can take any function as first or second. but you should choose complicated one as first as differentiation is easy. if you have difficulty in some specific example then post it.

Integration by substitution can be done in this case

eg .  \intf (g(x)) . g'(x) dx

==>   \int f(t) . d(t)                      [ we substitute g(x) as t and (g'(x).dx) as dt ]

solve the integral equations and finally put the value of t.
